Four out of five times I dine at Rock Creek I vow never to go there again, but every once in a while I find myself there. My last experience buttressed my resolve to steer clear and I recommend you do the same.
Chronically cold food, sub-par beer and waiters with bad attitudes are typical in my experience. Recent California transplants might be impressed by Rock Creek's ambience, but it is too Disneyland for true Pubcrawlers. And anyone passionate about Northwest microbrews will not tolerate Mcmenamin's flat, impotent beer.
Never again - I promise!

nice quite place out of the way. log cabin style joint w/ a nice ambiance. friendly staff. it has a very small town pub kinda feel, so don't expect fast paced service... it feels like they care more out each customer rather than making $3 off the next beer they can sell. drop in if you have extra time in your day... I recommend sitting at the bar

Rock Creek unfortunately burned down within the last year or so. I really loved the feel to the place, and the huge mirror behind the bar. I will miss slurping pints there cause it had so much character. I think there are plans on rebuilding it, but I am not positive on that.

The Rock Creek isn't a brewpub, just a "regular" McM's pub. It's a fantastic *place* though, if you're looking for Twin Peaks, come here. If you're lucky, the chickens outside won't peck at you too much. I didn't rate the beers, as they're standard McM's, though a bit better since they come mainly from Edgefield.

This looks like it would be a great place on a dark rainy night! It has the old hunting lodge feel about it. The quality of the beer was a bit above average for a McMenamin's.
